A couple of interesting activities, to say the least, are coming up at the Chomedey Chapter of Jewish Women International of Canada (JWIC).
This community-oriented organization, which has been operating in the Greater Montreal area for many decades, offers members and friends lots of opportunities to expand their horizons through social-cultural activities which are educational, informative, and entertaining.
Open to the community-at-large, the group also encourages its members to support worthy causes through sensitization programs and active participation in fundraisers for various community reach-out-projects that help to enhance many people's lives.
Tomorrow, Monday, August 11, Chomedey Chapter JWIC members and friends take off for Quebec City for an all-day outing in celebration of the city's 400th birthday.
"Fifty six passengers will be heading for the provincial capital by deluxe motor coach," says spokesperson Rosalee Tuchow. "All passengers must be at the Young Israel Synagogue by 7:10 am ready to get on board for this eventful outing. Comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather are the order of the day," Mrs. Tuchow adds.
On Monday August 25- the group will be presenting a Fashion Jewellery Exhibition at Young Israel of Chomedey Synagogue, starting at 2:00 pm.
"There will be affordable jewelry to suit many tastes," says Mrs. Tuchow, adding that "everybody is welcome. Come one, come all."
Many events held by Chomedey Chapter JWIC benefit the Jewish Women International of Canada’s mission to end violence against women and children.
