A reminder to everyone in Laval about our March 18th meeting with the Centre de santé et services sociaux de Laval – CSSSL - Health and social services Centre, at Congregation Shaar Shalom, 4880 Blvd. Notre Dame Chomedey. Places are filling up fast, and we have limited seating. The workshop starts at 7:00 pm.

The open forum will address concerns about doctors, pharmacists, dentists, hospital services, social workers, medications, ageing parents, Alzheimer, nursing care, flu shots, home care, CLSC, mental health, support services, and meals on wheels.

We will explore with the experts from the CSSSL the ins and outs of how to access and navigate through the health and social sectors, and find out what is available to us as users in health and social services in Laval.

Do you have concerns about health and social services? Bring them to this very important meeting open to all residents of Laval, where you can get some answers and explanations from the experts of the CSSSL. Admission is $5 per person, with prior registration obligatory. Refreshments will be served. To reserve, contact Rosalee at (450) 681-5335 or Sheila at (450) 688-6324.

The Chomedey Chapter JWIC (Jewish Women International of Canada) would also like to take this opportunity to wish all its members, family and friends a very happy and healthy Purim with a taste of those traditional delectable hamentashen. Editor's Note:Pictured, Lilian Kohl, who addressed members and guests of the Chomedey Chapter of JWIC (Jewish Women International of Canada), on the horrifying topic of 'human trafficking', at last week's meeting of the Chomedey group whose principal mission is the defense of the rights of women everywhere. "Although Human Trafficking of women is not normally an open subject, Lilian Kohl made us aware that this practice is unfortunately more widespread than we wish to believe," summed up JWIC spokesperson Rosalee Tuchow.
