'LOST IN OZ' at Mother Teresa Junior High School
A little bit of the bright lights of Broadway
Mother Teresa Junior High School's much-anticipated theatrical and musical production of 'Lost in Oz' lights up the school's stage this coming weekend.
The show will give audiences a taste of some of the great music, memorable songs and unforgettable characters associated with some of Broadway's most-beloved classics, past and present. Two evening performances will delight audiences Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, with a matinee added for Saturday afternoon.
Adapted and produced by teachers Jacques Tardiff, Monic Farrell, Annick Charon, Nadia Mazzone, Will Evans and Mary Anne Lapenna, the show will feature talented young people singing, dancing, and performing music from some of Broadway's most famous and endearing musicals, all of it staged with sets and props designed by students themselves.
"Come and see talented young people perform live for you. Bring your friends and family to what promises to be a great show," says Mother Teresa Junior High School music teacher and Apple (Computers) Distinguished Educator Jacques Tardiff.
Mr. Tardiff, an accomplished musician in his own right, is one of the major forces behind both the music program and stage productions at the school.
Tickets are $10. The curtain rises at 7:30 pm for evening performances on May 11 and 12, and at 2:00 pm for the Saturday, May 12 matinee. Proceeds from the show will be allocated for the development of schools activities, such as the music program.
