24 Hours of Science

On May 11 and 12, all ages can share in four activities in Laval during the 24 heures de science event, aimed at stimulating public interest in science & technology. This 2nd edition is made possible through financial support of Quebec's Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export and The Science and Technology Council, as well as media partners.

Fri. May 11, 7:00 PM: gaze at the stars all night! Hosted by Amateur Laval astronomers, at the Observatory, 825 Av. Parc. Learn the secrets of the nightly heavens and how to recognize constellations and stellar positioning and appearance. Info: (450) 430-3331.

Fri. May 11, 7:30 PM – Montmorency College movie-debate on environment and global warming. After viewing Al Gore's “An inconvenient truth” panelists will present their views on this burning question. (475, de l'Avenir).

Fri. May 11, 7 :30 PM – Armand-Frappier Museum (531 des Prairies) explores the world of nanobiotechnology with Dr. Normand Voyer, director of the Protein Function, Structure and Engineering Research Center and Professor at Laval University.
