The Choir of St. Panteleimon Church
The Singers of the Church of St. Panteleimon came Laval to participate in the international choral singing contest that brings Mondial Choral 2007 to a close.
From Tsibilissi, in Georgia (formerly of the USSR), director Badri Jimsheleishvili and the three other singers announce themselves as professionals whenever they perform, a pursuit they have enjoyed since 1995.
Back home, the group sings religious hymns at the Orthodox Church of St. Panteleimon, on Saturdays and Sundays. 2007 marks the choir's first visit to North America.
Globetrotters
The group has already performed in the Netherlands and Germany. CD's of Georgian music recorded by the group are available on the Internet.
If all goes as planned, the quartet will perform at a number of European concerts in 2008.
