STL routes modified

The Laval Transit Corporation (STL) has implemented changes to four of its routes, resurrected a former route and fused two other ones. In all, seven districts will benefit from these normal seasonal adjustments of additions and removals necessitated by changing patterns of passenger traffic. The revised routes are the 25 in Saint-Francois, the 45 in Laval-des-Rapides, the 48 in Duvernay East, and the 66 serving Chomedey and Sainte-Dorothee. The old line coming back into use is the 60, brought back to provide better service for public transit users in Chomedey, Laval-des-Rapides and Pont-Viau. Routes 70 and 71, covering Auteuil and Industrial Park Centre, have been collapsed into a single route, and given the number 70. STL officials conduct an analysis of the entire system every three months. The modifications brought into effect on August 25 are the first to occur since the opening of the Laval Metro and the setting up of new bus terminuses. (CT/JF)
