What do you remember about your first day of school?
Some prominent residents of Laval tell their story
For some, the first day of a new school year is an experience rich in feeling, a moment in time full of the emotions of wanting to meet new teachers, meet up with old friends, discover a new school … For others, the moment elicits mixed feelings flowing from the realization that the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer are over.
So, out of respect and appreciation for the universal tradition of western civilization that sees the return of children (and adults, these days) to school in late August – early September of every year, we asked some prominent citizens of Laval to tell us (and you) about their memories of their first day of school, their recollections of the best ever moment they experienced in school and their impressions of what the annual return to school meant to them.

Here are the candid declarations of a handful of our fellow Laval residents, in answer to three questions concerning their childhood memories of school.
