What is the most memorable recollection you have of your first day of school?
Going off to school with my Banana Splits lunchbox. The television show was a favourite of mine so I had a precious attachment to the box which contained my very first school lunch. I was so proud of it, I loved it to bits!
What is your fondest memory of all your school years?
I was blessed to be in a gifted child program in which the sky was the limit when it came to learning. Everything we did was exceptionally interesting and Mrs. Dennard, wherever she may, can be justifiably proud of how much she helped us learn and how much she did for our growth and development, with never a dull moment.
What did the annual ritual of back-to-school meant to you?
Friends! I loved school, I loved the learning, I loved the activities, and most of all I thoroughly enjoyed being with classmates who soon became good friends. I had a good time throughout my school years and I have wonderful memories of these experiences and rites of passage as I grew into young adulthood.
