Another dream comes true at Laval Liberty and Laval Junior high schools
New facilities inaugurated at Gerry Dattilio Sports Field
On a glorious morning in mid-September, with the sun lighting up the Gerry Dattilio Sports Field at Laval Liberty and Laval Junior high schools, Laurier School Board Commissioners and administrators, local political representatives for all three levels of government, members of the business community, parents, teachers, and students gave an official welcome to the synthetic field turf which has turned the football and soccer field into a state-of-the-art sports complex.

Our roving photographer took the opportunity to record some of the precious moments that punctuated the festivities that officially launched the new facilities this past Friday morning.

In the evening the Laval Liberty Panthers took on the Pierre-de-Lestage Tomahawks in the home opener of the football season, held in conjunction with the school's 2007 Homecoming Night welcoming students, parents, dignitaries, alumni and the Laval Community to Gerry Dattilio Sports Field.

In next week's edition of Courrier Laval Weekly News (Sunday, Sptember 23, 2007) look for a full report on both the inauguration proceedings and the results of the home opener between the Panthers and the Tomahawks.

In the meantime, we invite you to enjoy a few of the many special images that marked the historic event of Friday, September 14, 2007 at Laval Liberty and Laval Junior high schools.
