PICAI Italian Program welcomes all
Never too young, never too old
Meet teacher Linda Telardo’s Italian class, one of several groups presently underway at the PICAI Italian Program of Studies that meets every Saturday morning at Laval Junior High School, 3200 Souvenir in Chomedey. This PICAI centre, one of three such initiatives operating on Laval island (East, Central, West) opens the windows to the world of Italian language and culture to all residents of the city who are of Italian origin. Partly funded by the Italian government with the aim of fostering the language and culture abroad, the PICAI Program welcomes everyone from the ages of kindergarten to adult, all for affordable costs of $95 for first child/student and $85 for each subsequent child. The cost for adults is slightly higher at $180. This year's program runs until April of 2008 and registrations are still open for anyone wishing to join any of these courses which take place every Saturday morning, 9:00 to noon.
