Lots of opportunities for Chomdey's 50 + generation
Busy fall agenda, new winter-spring program
Launched in early September in the presence of about 200 'fifty plussers', and invited guests, including Chomedey MNA Guy Ouellette, the Chomedey 50+ Club, a division of Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors, is set to begin the second half of its 2007 program.
"Come and learn learn how to bead in a one-day workshop (lunch included), or how to present photos in your album in an interesting way by joining our workshop on scrapbooking," says spokesperson Claire Nudel, adding that some spaces are still available.
The fall program has had an excellent response from the community, says Mrs. Nudel, pointing in particular to successful courses in watercolours (led by Evelyn Bass), Adobe Photoshop, fitness, and yogalates. "So far the course we have been running have all been praised," Mrs. Nudel happily reports.
Coming soon
The Yiddish Club, the beginner computer course, and the three-night series on International Issues will begin soon. As well, members and friends are who have yet to sign up for the November 21 Segal Theatre Matinee are reminded to get on board soon, since there are only a few places left.
