Laval’s only outdoor refrigerated skating rink now open
Centropolis rink bigger than what New York City’s Rockefeller Center has to offer
Laval skating enthusiasts can once again enjoy the brisk fresh air of winter at the Centropolis open-air skating rink which opened this past Sunday.
Open 14 hours a day, seven days a week, the rink welcomes all skaters from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm. In addition to daylight skating, the facility also provides plenty of lights after dark so that skaters can strut their stuff on their silver blades well into the evening and nigh time too.
As a practical service, the rink is equipped with two kiosks where visitors can comfortably put on or remove their skates.
“Whether you come alone, with family, or with friends, no effort has been spared to provide all the pleasures of outdoor skating,” says Centropolis spokesperson Melyssa Houde. “This is also a place to relax with work colleagues. Taking in fresh air is a great way to unwind especially when it’s followed by a delicious meal at one of the restaurants at Centropolis,” Mrs. Houde adds.
