A time to share
December 25: celebrated by most, not enjoyed by all. Is there hope for those left without at holiday time? The Laurier Senior High School’s 2007 Christmas Baskets Campaign will respond to the needs of some families for whom the holidays are a much more difficult time than usual. Students and their families at the school are being reminded that it is a time to share and a time to give.
It is an era when no one should have to do without necessities, the Laurier Senior High Christmas Baskets Campaign encourages the community to contribute generously to helping others enjoy the holidays.
It doesn't take much. A bag of three or four non-perishable food items and/or house supplies (soaps, toothpaste, tissue) would go along way to help those who can't help themselves. Besides which, helping another gives great satisfaction to both giver and receiver.
The key aspiration is to collect many non-perishable food items for the Christmas Baskets which will be distributed throughout the month of December. Donate for life, donate for happiness and donate for the smiles which will touch the faces of so many, especially innocent children.
Bring your food/supplies to Laurier Senior High School, at 2323 Daniel-Johnson Blvd. in Chomedey, during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information, please contact Mr. Alan De Souza, at (450) 686-6300, extension 8536.
