Chomedey Blues: The mark of Champions
Mosquito AAA side dominate Lakeshore Cougars in final of Alouettes Cup
Although it happened a while ago, in early November to be exact, the achievement of the Chomedey Blues Mosquito AAA team is still something that everyone associated with the team can be truly proud of, in a season that was quite challenging to the boys from Laval.
How significant is this achievement? Well, the AAA Mosquitos was the only team from Laval to win any championship in regional competition in 2007.

So after finishing the regular season in the Montreal-Metro Mosquito AAA League with a record of 6 wins and 4 losses, coach Robert Mongeau's boys did themselves immensely proud with their championship win over the Lakeshore Cougars, shutting out the powerful West Island side 16-0.
The replay, in brief
The Blues touchdowns were scored by Marc Zawi and Gabriel Baillairgeon, with placekicker Roberto Messore coverting both majors. The other two points came on a safety touch, a development consistent with the exceptional play of the Blues defense throughout the game.

"It was an excellent game," head coach Robert Mongeau told Courrier Laval in a recent telephone interview. "We were impeccable on defense, and we had to be perfect to shut them out. It was a great effort both ways," the happy coach explained, adding that he was particularly impressed with the outstanding defensive work of Vincent Alessandrini, Charles Lévesque, and Antoine Mongeau. "They were simply brilliant," coach Mongeau concluded.
