City will come to your door to pick up your Christmas Tree

(J.F.) Ville de Laval wants to pick up your Christmas Tree for recycling purposes. To this end, they'll even come to your door-to-door during the weeks of January 7, 14, and 21 to collect your tree, provided you've removed all decorations. To have your tree picked up, simply put it out on the same day as garbage pick up, before 7:00 am. City workers will do the rest.

The city estimates that 25,000 trees are purchased by Laval residents at holiday time. Once recovered, these trees are shred into wood chips and used to advantage in various environment-friendly ways. More information is available at 311, (450) 978-8000 or at www.ville.laval.qc.ca
