Mother Teresa Junior High School opens its doors: 'More than just a high school'
Are you looking for a junior high school for your son or daughter for next year? Are you interested in taking a first hand look at some exceptional teachers, programs, and facilities offered by one of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board's two junior high schools on Laval island?
Mark down Wednesday, January 9, 2008 on your 'things to do calendar' and make your way over to Mother Teresa Junior High School, where starting at 7:00 pm you'll be able to meet teachers, support staff, administrators and best of all, students already attending the school.

"Everyone's welcome to come and take a look at our established programs and several other new ones," says Anna Villalta, the current interim principal at Mother Teresa Junior High. "Our doors are open and we're sure you'll have a pleasant and informative time with dozens of people who'll be there to answer questions and provide extensive explanations on the services we offer," Mrs. Villalta adds.
What's new?
In addition to the basic courses and programs it has successfully implemented for many decades (previously as Sacred Heart Middle School), Mother Teresa Junior High School is also offering new programs in French Immersion, E-Tech, Physical Education Leadership, and Art & Music.

"It's all consistent with our school mission of Learning Through Giving, Mrs. Villalta specifies, adding that the Mother Teresa Junior High School Community prides itself on teaching and promoting the values of respect, responsibility, caring, cooperation and excellence.

Mother Teresa Junior High School, Laval's oldest English junior high school, dating back to the mid-1980s when it first opened its doors as Sacred Heart Middle School, is situated at 2323 Daniel-Johnson Boulevard, in Chomedey. It can be reached by telephone at (450) 686-6333, or at www.swlauriersb.ca
