My turn, says Kayla

I really enjoyed Michael Angleo Izzo's letter of introduction in last week's issue of Courrier Laval Bilingual Edition. I thought to myself, well if he can introduce himself why can't I. And so, here I am.

I too would like to have the people of Laval meet me in the pages of your newspaper. Thank you for letting me participate in the “2008 Babies of the Year Special Feature”.

I am Kayla Miriam Rowhani. I was born on October 18, 2007. I am the precious daughter of Anthony and Mary Rowhani. I have my grandparents, great-aunt, 15 aunts and uncles, and 7 cousins who love me very much. My mommy says I have her temper, daddy’s cleverness and bubba’s quiet disposition.

Thank you again for letting me introduce myself and for letting my parents show me off! I am looking forward to joining the Courrier Laval 2008 Family Album, along with many other children born this past year (2007). I can't wait to see all those cute smiling faces and those precious looks that will charm all your readers and friends.

In keeping with the spirit of joyful exuberance 'expressed' by little Kayla, we will happily welcome other newborns of 2007 (such as Ophélie Paquette) to our 2008 Babies of the Year Special Feature which will go to print on Sunday, January 27.

We invite Laval families who would like to have their newborns participate in this Free Family Album, to send their newborn's full name, picture, and date of birth, along with the names of siblings, parents, grandparents, and great grandparents before Tuesday, January 22, 2008. We'll gladly share your good news with the world. Please also provide a daytime telephone number for verification and information purposes. If you wish, you can also include a short message to the child (about 25 words).
