Something for everyone at Laval's CISEP
CISEP services are many and varied, and they include training and teaching of choral singing. Pictured here are some of the curious members of Fadi Nouneh's CISEP Choir that performed at the Centre's Holiday Celebration. (Photo: Martin Alarie)
Something for everyone at Laval's CISEP
The Centre d'intégration sociale et professionelle de Laval (CISEP) offers numerous courses to suit many needs.
Conversational English
"We're very flexible, and ready to accommodate interested individuals for day or evening sessions," says Director Lydia Nouneh, to residents who would like to improve their English for job finding or job promotion. The sessions emphasize conversational practice, written composition, understanding of visual material (videos, DVDs) and role playing.
Recreational and professional music
For $10 an hour, you can learn piano and guitar, and develop singing and song-writing talents, all from qualified and experienced professionals.
"The groups are intimate (maximum 5 students) and the atmosphere very congenial," says Mrs. Nouneh.
Computer Education
The CISEP Centre also offers computer courses, in collaboration with the Commission scolaire de Laval (CSDL), in Windows, Word, Internet Surfing and Navigation, Power Point Presentations and Digital Photography.

"Once again, we guarantee professional instruction in a supportive atmosphere from qualified individuals who take their students' needs to heart," Mrs. Nouneh explains, adding that it is the philosophy of the CISEP Centre to provide quality services to all its clientele, from day-care age to seniors.
Looking for work?
The social and professional integration centre is looking for a Day-Care teacher. To qualify, you have to be eligible for a salary subsidy, like children and have experience working with them.
For more information on these and other CISEP services, contact Lydia Nouneh at (450) 978-7107. The Centre is located at 4415 Notre Dame Blvd., in Chomedey.
