Great time was had at last week's meeting, despite small group in attendance (Snow birds, you know!). "We schmoozed, played bingo, and had a bunch of laughs," reports Chapter President and Founder Evie Applebee, fresh from a nice time spent in warmer climes with husband, best friend, and great companion Irving. Members and friends meet next week (Wed. Jan. 23) at Casa Grecque for lunch and of course, the latest tidbits of juicy gossip. For the next lunch meeting, I'm going to insist that men attend too. After all, we like juicy gossip as well as any woman, even more so. For more information on gossip and other less frivolous matters, please call Mrs. Applebee at (450) 681-9342.

The Christmas Concert, a first production mounted by parishioners, was a great success. 20 different acts performed, from young children to seniors. The quality and variety of the talent was impressive: music, dance, humour, and the children's delightful pageant from an original script by Sara Vinci and Luisa Ciccone. Outstanding attendance of 250. Over $1000 was raised. Many thanks to all who worked so hard, especially Sal Santangelo, whose idea this was, with the members of his Social Committee, emcee Nick Furfaro, and many others. Parish Gala For All: Saturday, February 2, 7:00 pm, Palace Reception Hall, 1717 Le Corbusier, Chomedey. Good food, dancing, prizes and more, organized by World Youth Day pilgrims. $60, $30 for children 12 and under. Info: Chris Borrelli, (450) 969-1448, chrisborrelli@hotmail.com
