'Around Town!' 25th Anniversary Reunion: Classes of 1983 of Western Laval and Chomedey High

I am a graduate of the Chomedey Polyvalent High School Class of 1983. I am hosting the 25th Anniversary Reunion, which will take place on Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Centre des Congrès Le Parc, in Laval.

During 1983, the senior classes of Western Laval High School and Chomedey Polyvalent High School were amalgamated into CPHS, and we became one of the largest graduating groups under the English board at the time, with over 650 members.

Since many of these former classmates have moved away from Chomedey, I am asking for your help to get word "around town", through the Courrier Laval Bilingual Edition, that we will be reuniting for a wonderful celebration of the days of friendship we shared during our high school years, especially our senior year at Chomedey High.

We are planning a fantastic evening of dining, dancing, entertainment and a Surprise Show not to be missed. All participants will be given a keepsake of the event, with many door prizes to be awarded as well. A professional photographer will be on hand to record the special moments we will share as we return to Laval to relive some of the great memories we made as friends and acquaintances while at Chomedey High in 1983.

Our 'Early Bird' deadline is Monday, April 14, 2008, with tickets available until then for $125 per person. After April 14, the tickets will cost $150 per person. Wine will be served with the full-course dinner and an open bar will be available until 3:00 am.

Spouses and companions are welcome to attend. A good portion of the proceedings from a Silent Auction and voluntary donations will be contributed to various foundations and causes: the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board Foundation, the Just For Kids Foundation, and the Jewish General Hospital Segal Center.

We invite all members of the Class of '83 to reserve their tickets as soon as possible. Tables of 10 or 12 participants will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
