New Guide for Spring Session courses: includes regulars such as Fitness for all levels, Yogalates, Computers, Watercolours, Book discussion, Mah Jongg and Tea ‘n’ Shmooze. Additions: Excel, Windows Refresher, Line Dancing, Mixed Media, Calligraphy, Beading, and an Internet/Email to Word Download Workshop. Special new course: French Conversation: an opportunity to improve oral French skills in a relaxed atmosphere. In the planning stages: a one-day-a-week Drop-In-Centre where members and friends can enjoy games such as mah jongg, bridge, and more; free to members of Chomedey Cummings. Day and time to be announced. Also on the promam: an afternoon at the New Leonore and Alvin Segal Theatre, Wed. May 14th. To enjoy the comedy, The Odd Couple. Departure at 11:00 a.m. for an opportunity for lunch in town. Performance starts at 1:00 pm; tickets: $28.Transportation provided. There are still a few seats available. Gevurah Club of Chomedey's Cummings Centre For 50 +
The ladies and gentlemen of the Gevurah Club of Chomedey, one of the city's longest-serving group for seniors, meet every Tuesday, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Young Israel of Chomedey Synagogue, 1025 Elizabeth. "We have great fun, with cards, bingo, visiting speakers and of course, delicious refreshments. Holy Name of Jesus Parish
Easter Sunday Bake sale: The youth of the parish will be selling donated & home-made baked goods after the 8:30 and 11 o’clock Masses, today, Sunday, March 23. All proceeds will go to help World Youth Day pilgrims. Line Dancing
Tuesday mornings. A new Beginners Class starts at 9:00 followed by the regular class at 10:00 to 11:30. This mentally and physically stimulating activity is for all (men too!) - no previous experience necessary. Experienced and dedicated teachers lead the way. Torah Academy of Laval
Sunday classes at the Centre du Sablon, 10:00am - 12:00 noon. Jewish children learn about their heritage and traditions. On different age-appropriate levels, the children learn to read and write Hebrew, enjoy arts and crafts and many other activities too numerous to mention. Registration for Torah Academy Camp is now open! The camp runs from June 23 to August. Be a part of it!
