Students keep show details hush-hush
Laurier Senior High School students build suspense for their Blue and Gold Revue 2008
The theme of the show is "Grand Theft Toykyo" – and that's all we know! The students at Laurier High are doing a good job of keeping the details of their annual production under wraps.
"We like to keep it to only the title," said director and head writer Mariangela Fasulo, who also heads the Laurier Senior High School's Student Council. "It keeps up the suspense of the show and encourages people to come." This is the 30th consecutive year for the non-profit production to raise money for the student council and for new school equipment. Fasulo did divulge that the show is a play, and that in between scenes there would be singing and dancing performances. The show is entirely written by a group of students. The students submit an audition script and then are narrowed down and chosen by faculty advisors for a final writing committee. The students and faculty have been practicing every night after school and will have put in some heavy hours this past weekend before show time! The number of writers, actors, dancers, singers, musicians and technicians totals over 100. The show is taking place at the school on April 3rd, 4th and 5th at the school located at 2323 Daniel Johnson, Laval. Tickets can be bought before the show at $12 during lunch hour between 12:45pm-1:45pm in the school lobby or for $15 the night of the show.
