Pierre Marchand honoured

"We were flattered. Even though we got the word at the last minute, we didn’t say no. They conducted numerous interviews and televised some of the games across the country. It gave wonderful media coverage to the event,” emphasizes François Mayrand, president of the event’s organizing committee.

Pierre Marchand comes to the honourary presidency of the Laval International Cup of Soccer with an impressive resume which includes a province-wide reputation as a leader in the soccer milieu. He presently holds the offices of president of the Laval Regional Soccer Association and of the Multisports Corporation of Laval. He also has the distinction of winning the Dollard-Morin Prize in 2006, awarded by the Quebec government for exceptional volunteer service in sports and leisure.
