Welcome to Courrier Laval's new Up Close and Personal feature

The couple, seen here basking in the wonderful glow of life-long love, at one the many events organized by the Golda Meir (Chomedey) Chapter of Montreal Hadassah-WIZO, recently celebrated Irving's retirement from over 50 years of service in the pharmaceutical industry, including a stint at Wyeth Laboratories. When we learned of Irving's leave from Wyeth and his intentions of spending more time at home with his beloved Evie, we offered a bit of advice that should hold the happy couple in good stead in the years to come: "Irving, keep in mind that Evie married you for better or for worse, but not necessarily for lunch."
