Golda Meir (Chomedey) Chapter Montreal Hadassah-WIZO
President and Chapter President Evie Applebee invites everyone to a Marvellous Book Fair, in conjunction with the Giant Bazaar at Congregation Chevra Mishnais Jacob Josef. "The Chapter has acquired 1,000 new books (hardcover, paperback) which we'll be selling them at great prices, at the September 7 Bazaar. A donation from the proceeds of the book fair will be forwarded to Jacob Josef Synagogue," says Mrs. Applebee. Chomedey Seniors Club Registrations for 2008-2009
Join the 'bandwagon' of Thursday Trips into culture, education, health, and entertainment, at the Chomedey Seniors Club, one of Laval's longest-standing organizations for 50 and up, as another year of varied programs soon gets underway. The Thursday meetings are always full of fun, fancy, and formidable guest speakers, experts all from all walks of life from medicine (health) to mirrors (magic) and from polka musicians to politicians. That and much more, all of it for an annual membership fee of $25. Club organizers have designated this coming Thursday, August 21, 1:00 – 3:00 pm as Registration Time for the new 2008-2009 season.
