After so much talk, excitement, and anticipation the Montreal Metro is finally crossing into Laval. After years of construction work, all there is left to complete the process is for you to climb aboard the waiting trains.

Courrier Laval and Courrier Laval Weekly News could not let a project of this magnitude and one which was decades in the making, become part of the history of the city without celebrating its arrival in an appropriate and permanent way.

In this week's Special Editions of Courrier Laval and Courrier Laval Weekly News, mementos worth keeping for posterity, you’ll find outstanding information on the Laval Metro, notably about its construction, about the obstacles that the engineers had to surmount, and about the impact of the subway on the city’s economy, tourism industry, and new directions relative to expansion and urban development.

In addition to telling you about the various facets of the Laval stations and the Montreal Metro, our journalists in their reports also explored aspects of other subway systems both in Canada and elsewhere across the world.

We invite you to obtain a copy of today's edition of Courrier Laval for more comprehensive coverage of the coming of the Metro to Laval, contained in an 88-page special section.

The publishing of the Special Laval Metro Editions of Courrier Laval and Courrier Laval Weekly News is not all we’re doing to celebrate this momentous event in the young history of Ville de Laval. We are also marking the arrival of the metro to Laval by sending two readers of Courrier Laval to London, England, where they’ll not only discover the charms of the British capital but also a ride on the world’s oldest subway – The Tube.

This Special Laval Metro Editions of Courrier Laval and Courrier Laval Weekly News would not have been possible without the know-how and energy of our entire team.
