"Hi Mom! – This is for you." Meet some members of Elizabeth Hoadley's Mini-Masters Art Program, at a mod-podge workshop that allowed these youngsters to create some wonderful gifts they gave their moms for last year's Mother's Day. This year, children of all ages can offer their moms a day of Tender Loving Care at Holy Name of Jesus Church, this coming Saturday, May 12.

Happy Mother’s Day at Holy Name of Jesus Parish
Pamper mom with some Tender Loving Care
Who says that attending church service can’t be lots of fun, in light-hearted and even slightly self-indulgent pleasant ways. Certainly not the good folks at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Laval’s only English-speaking Roman Catholic Church. And it couldn’t happen to any nicer persons than our moms.
“(Make) Mother’s Day 2007 a very special one for that special mom!” says this week’s parish bulletin.
This Saturday, May 12, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm you can “pamper her with a day of beauty: facials, make-up, & nails with great products and done by the young women of our parish,” explains the announcement. It’s only $20 per person and is open to all, but you must reserve ahead of time.
There’s more for moms
And that’s not all there is for that wonderful mother of yours.
After all Masses on Saturday, May 12 (5:00 pm) and Sunday, May 13 (8:30 am & 11:00 am), there will be beautiful flowers for sale by the young people of the parish.
“It’s another great gift for mothers and all,” say the organizers, the youth of the parish who have planned these initiatives as fundraisers for World Youth Day 2008.
“Do something special for your (very deserving) mother and help our young people grow in their faith,” concludes the Holy Name of Jesus Church Special Mother’s Day 2007 announcement.
