World renowned Concert Pianist/ Psychiatrist returns for AMI-Québec

Dr. Richard Kogan, New York-based psychiatrist and world renowned concert pianist, returns to Montreal to present Inspired by Depression: Tchaikovsky’s Dark Genius – a unique musical voyage into the depth of Tchaikovsky’s soul and genius. A graduate of Harvard Medical School and Juilliard, Dr. Kogan “has managed to excel in the world’s two most demanding professions,” says the Boston Globe. The New York Times characterizes his performance as “exquisite playing, eloquent and compelling.” At the concert Dr. Kogan will demonstrate how the composer’s mental state affected his creativity and how some of the greatest musical works of all time were created.
