Adesco Vocal Ensemble impresses once gain
It was without a doubt the eight young singers of the Ardesco Vocal ensemble who grabbed the attention of the audience at the first evening of the Mondial Choral Singing Contest.
With a repertoire of blues, jazz, Irish folk and contemporary music, the group, composed of music students from McGill University, succeeded in truly connecting with the audience. More than just a few simple songs, their performance was imbued with unique vocal interpretation, suggesting new possibilities in the exploration and expression of music.
It wasn't just the harmony and the nuances of the arrangements that amazed, but more so the richly complex melding of human and voice that flowed from their performance that did the trick. A beautiful discovery, or a rediscovery if you wish, but also a contagious energy and inviting rhythms, that's what. Twelve incredible voices, coming together in full understanding of one another.
