Choral singers could spend time at the internet communication centre as well as in the cafeteria of the Choral Village.

A Choral Village
In 2007, the Mondial Choral Loto-Québec organizers pulled out all the stops to create a veritable centre of choirs.
Big tops and tents sprang up in the parking lot of Montmorency College near the Maison des arts de Laval and in front of Salle André-Mathieu, the main site hosting most of the stages of the Mondial Choral Laval International Choral Singing Contest.
Cafeteria, internet communication centre, accreditation of choir members from Quebec and elsewhere – the equivalent of an Olympic Village without residences – formed the heart of the event.
"We wanted a place where the choral singers could meet, exchange news and views, and lay back a little following their performances all over the island," explains Claude Viau, the Mondial Choral's associate producer and organizer.
Coming and going
The Choral Village also handled transportation logistics for the choirs. Under the supervision of volunteers, shuttles went to and from concert halls, dormitories, and the Mondial's other main venues.
In the Chapiteau-Théâtre (Big Top) erected on the parking lot facing Concorde Boulevard, choral singers were privileged to take in end-of-evening concerts.
It would not be surprising to find many of these choral singers from all over the world attentively monitoring the bulletin boards announcing the results of the various rounds of competition in all categories of the Mondial Choral Laval International Singing Contest.
