Choral singers at school
About 15 choirs participated this past Wednesday in a workshop devoted to Quebecer folklore. Under the direction of Yves Paul, the participants reprised 'Le loup, le renard et le lievre (The Wolf, the Fox, and the Hare). "I selected a difficult piece from the point of view of articulation," said the director prior to the start of the workshop which took place in the Chapiteau-théâtre (Theatre Tent). The exercise which brought together several groups from the Montreal region unfolded in very good humour. In all, eight workshops were presented within the Mondial Choral framework. The choral singers have been able to work with, among others, directors from Austria and Croatia and those participating in the July 7 workshop will work under the baton of a director from Martinique.
