24th annual Laval Police blood donor clinic
The Laval Police Brotherhood’s 24th annual blood donor clinic will take place this coming Tuesday, November 23, from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm at the Pavillon du Bois Papineau, 3235, St-Martin Boulevard East.
The objective is 325 donors, a goal which is consistent with past precedent. Last year, 319 donations were received.
“This is a cause that’s dear to our hearts. We’re talking about saving lives and coming to the aid of those in need,” says Andre Forest, vice-president of the Brotherhood.
Mr. Forest points out that the project also puts emphasis on sensitizing young police officers, in the hope of making them regular donors. “We also want to create better links with the population at large,” adds the police officer.
The clinic is jointly organized with other groups, notably the Department of Civil and Citizen Protection of Laval. (B.L)
