A quick recovery
The opening drive saw the Aigles march the ball down for a touchdown. The Panthers came back to take the lead by half-time and led 28 - 12 late in the 3rd quarter. The Aigles staged a superb comeback and scored a touchdown with 1:37 remaining in the game to take a dramatic 29-28 lead. Fans on both sides were cheering louder than ever as the Panthers got the ball back at mid-field for one final drive.
Quarterback Demar Grant led the charge as the Panthers moved the ball downfield, including a heart-stopping 1st down conversion on a 4th down scramble. The Panthers eventually moved the ball to the 4-yard line with 7 seconds remaining in the game. Grant then calmly completed a touchdown pass to Nicholas Claing D'Andrea with only 3 seconds left in the game and the Panthers took the lead once more.
Drenched in emotion
Pandemonium took over as Panther fans celebrated a second consecutive regional championship. Tears flowed on both sides as emotional players and coaches were agonizing with the pain of defeat while others were overcome with the exhilaration of a championship.
Panther players rushed across the field to celebrate with their teammates and coaches while the tearful quarterback temporarily went in the other direction, going over to his principal to give him the game ball. "Thank you sir, for making this possible! This is for you! Thank you for believing in us! This is amazing!" A huge hug ensued as the principal, exclaimed: "You will never forget this. You are a champion! No one can ever take that away from you! You will never forget this moment!" With this, the young Demar ran back to his teammates to celebrate. A field of dreams has come alive at Laval Liberty High School as our sports concentration program continues to give students the self-confidence and desire to achieve. What more could you possibly ask for?
Academics, citizenship, athleticism
There are moments in our lives when everything we strive for reaches a triumphant climax.
For 60 student-athletes, their parents, their coaches and their teachers/administrators, that moment came at 9 o'clock on Friday night when the Panthers won the regional championship. Each of the student-athletes on this team has had to maintain a satisfactory (75%+) academic average, an exemplary behavior as a citizen of their school and outstanding athleticism as a football player. Daily training and practices since last fall have led this team to the highest level of competition - a chance to play in the Bol D'Or this coming Sunday. This is a fitting tribute to teacher-coach Steve Alexandre who has devoted countless hours and energy to reach this ultimate goal with our team.
History in the making
A perfect 10! Ten wins and no losses! A dream season with a nail-biting finish for the ages… The ghosts of the Chomedey Chiefs must have been looking out for the Panthers as they accomplished the greatest of feats.
A perfect season, perfect playoffs and a second championship in their third year of existence… What's more, only ten graduates will be leaving this team at the end of the year. Inevitably, the Panthers will be a force to be reckoned with once again next year as the core of the team remains intact. However, one more game remains. The Provincial Championship game versus les Centaures de la Courviloise awaits and the Panthers are determined to bring home the ultimate prize! To-day, Sunday, November 18 at 12:30 at École Amitié in l'Assomption.

Thank you to all of our supporters. They could not have done it without you!
