Free French courses for new arrivals at Laval's CISEP
(J.F.) Are you a new arrival to Quebec. Have you lived in Laval less than five years and need to learn or improve your French for a better job or advancement in your present work?
The Centre d'intégration sociale et professionelle de Laval (CISEP) offers a course just for your needs, subsidized by Quebec's Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities.
"We're friendly, we're accommodating and we're effective," says CISEP Director Lydia Nouneh, to new residents of Laval whose immigrant status qualifies them for this program. And French is not all that's offered. For modest costs ($50), you can improve your conversational English (beginners and intermediate); for $10 an hour, you can learn piano and guitar, and develop singing and song-writing talents, all from qualified and experienced professionals.
For information on these and other CISEP services, contact Lydia Nouneh at (450) 978-7107. The Centre is located at 4415 Notre Dame Blvd., in Chomedey.
