Village des arts 2008 looking for participants for 33rd annual edition
Organizers of Laval’s 33rd Annual Arts Village are looking for artists to prepare the 2008 edition of this summer cultural extravaganza that will draw the attention of many on weekends from July 11 to August 17. The deadline to submit applications for participation is this coming Friday, February 29.
As in previous years, the program for the Arts Village will include various themes such as folklore, large orchestras, dance, theatrical companies, recycled art, all of local origin.
Artists and groups wishing to participate must submit a comprehensive portfolio (demos, pictures, art work). Projects which integrate participation by the public will be given priority. Example: the sharing of one’s passion for an art form through guided tours or invitations to visit an exhibit conceived especially for the occasion or to participate in a practical workshop or mini-conference.
Projects must be received by Friday, February 29, at Maison des arts, A/S Catherine Quintal - Village des arts, 1395 Concorde Blvd. West, Laval (Quebec) H7N 5W1.
