Join The Walking Club which begins Mon. May 12, 9:00 am. Group meets at Young Israel of Chomedey Synagogue, 1025 Elizabeth. Open to all members of Cummings. No charge. Just bring your walking shoes and walk to get fit. Budding artists have started their water colour course. In July these classes will move outdoors, weather permitting. Bring nature to your canvas while smelling the roses. Mon. May 12th our Drop in Centre opens, for members only. No charge. Come play Mah Jongg, bridge, meet friends and chat. Open 1 – 3:30 pm. French Conversation class about to begin. There are a few spaces left so don’t delay signing up. An afternoon workshop on Scrapbooking, Mon. May 12, 1 – 3 pm. $15. Jewish Women International of Canada Chomedey Chapter
Ottawa trip Tuesday May 13th followed by a very important business meeting for members at 7:00 pm. Wednesday May 14th at the Young Israel Synagogue, 1025 Elisabeth, Chomedey, to discuss programs and vital issues for the present and upcoming year. "Your input is essential," says spokesperson Sheila Kirstenberg, adding that new members are always welcome to join the team and participate in chapter events. Torah Academy of Laval @A2:Sunday classes at the Centre du Sablon, 10:00 am - noon. Jewish children learn about their heritage and traditions.
