Cindy Crawford meets lots of fans on visit to Centre Laval
World-renowned fashion model Cindy Crawford was in town this past Sunday, making a stop at the Brick furniture outlet in Centre Laval.
At a rare public appearance, the ex-super model was in Laval to promote her latest line of furniture. Her designs have been available through the Brick chain for about a year.

With modeling careers lasting just a few years at most, Crawford has moved on in recent times and now pursues two main passions in life, her family and business.

One thing is certain, Super Cindy does not put all her eggs in the same basket when it comes to commercial ventures. She definitely believes in diversifying when it comes to business.

Perhaps out of necessity, following mixed success in movies and television, the once one of the most photographed faces on the planet wasted little time in branching out, launching in turn a series of fitness videos, an array of beauty products, and a line of furniture.

"(Although) it’s true that a model's life is full of excitement, I certainly haven’t had too much time to miss it since becoming a businesswoman," Mrs. Crawford confides.

Besides, she says, as she has to travel the continent and the world to promote commercial ventures, there are many times when her new life closely resembles the old. But there are changes, to be sure.

Now the mother of two, the ex-star of the floodlights remains open to new business opportunities although she says she prefers to "concentrate on projects already in progress. (But) I’m actually spending more time with my family and I like it to stay that way,” she adds.

Fans of all ages came to see the ex-model and she didn’t disappoint, signing lots of autographs. It was Mrs. Crawford’s first visit to the Montreal area in about ten years. She was last in town in the late 1990s for a Danone Yogurt promotional campaign.
