Up Close and Personal
I see that you are enjoying success with the English version of Courrier Laval. I and others really like what you have done with it.
I am writing to you with the hope that you might consider starting a small Community Bulletin Board of things on a smaller scale in your paper. I am leaning towards a regular weekly feature of individual stories, meetings, dances and things happening in and around Laval.
For example, I would love to have more people join my breakfast club for semi-retired and retired folks. We are three people right now and have been this way for over 4 years. We sure would like to expand this circle if we can.
We meet on Thursday mornings at various interesting places in Laval and the North Shore to discuss popular topics and subjects of mutual interest.

<@Ri>Editor's note:<@$P> With this issue of Courrier Laval Bilingual Edition, we are taking Mr. Hennelly up on his suggestion to publish 'a small Community Bulletin Board of things on a smaller scale', such as his Breakfast Club which meets on a weekly basis. We are calling this new bulletin board 'Close Up and Personal'. Please note that it is not a replacement for our Closer To You Laval feature but an addition to it, a bit of a different posting of individual initiatives and achievements undertaken and experienced on a social-cultural basis by our readers and friends. So, we invite submissions from friends and readers who would like to let other friends and readers know about the special and rather quasi-personal things that are part of 'the sweet and simple stuff' of our lives. Send your notices to John Fasciano, by email at john.fasciano@transcontinental.ca, by fax at (450) 667-0845, by post at 2700 Francis-Hughes Avenue, Suite 200, Laval (QC), H7S 2B9.
And if you're technologically-challenged or strapped for time and find it easier to talk to us personally, call us at (450) 667-4360, extension 528.
