Sorry! Wrong number! Apologies to Bruce Hennelly and his Breakfast Club

Thank you for publishing my letter concerning our breakfast club. It was gracious of you to put it into print so quickly, this past Sunday.

So there I was, all excited, telephone close-at-hand, waiting on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the calls to roll in from people looking for more information about how to join this wonderful little circle of ours, where we meet, once-a-week, to discuss all sorts of interesting things over a plate or two of tasty breakfast treats.

Could it be, I asked myself, that not one single solitary person among the thousands who read Laval’s only English weekly newspaper was interested in making new friends while enjoying a couple of hours of delectable diversion and fascinating chit-chat at some of the most charming restaurants in the Laval-North Shore region?

Can’t be, I told myself! And I believe I’m right because, lo and behold, when I went back to the published letter I noticed (Gasp!) that there was a mistake in the telephone number given, and that is probably why no one has reached me yet to ask for more information.

Thus, here for one and all is the correct telephone number that can be called by anyone who would like to join us our intimate breakfast club: (514) 927-7231.

And oh, yes, ladies are welcome at any time, so girls, don’t hesitate to call us for more information. We’d love for you to join us. The more the merrier.

We’ll be waiting with great anticipation for the calls to come in.

I wish I could blame the usual cyber glitches or mischievous technological gremlins that regularly invade our computer systems – but – Alas! No! Not this time.
