Al-Anon/Al-Ateen in collaboration with AA is holding Words That Heal, its 9th trilingual convention for Montreal and the surrounding area, on Friday, September 12, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm and Saturday, September 13, from 9:15 am to 8:30 pm, followed by a dance, at Collège de Rosemont (CÉGEP), 6400 16th Avenue (corner of Beaubien) in Montreal. The convention's main objective is to welcome people affected by someone else's alcoholism and to pass on the message of hope of the 12-step program. Speakers, candlelight meeting, stand up and share, fellowship and hospitality, all offered in three languages – English, French and Spanish. Malin taught for 17 years at the Montreal Children’s Theatre, held the role of National Leadership Chairman for Jewish Women International and work for 10 years as an educational professional for more than 1000 volunteers at the Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors. Get ready for another fun-filled season of regular Monday meetings of the Laval Women’s Group. From line-dancing, Tai Chi classes, Bingo, to chats with new and old friends, the group’s regular meetings began Monday, September 8th, but some classes such as Tai Chi begin this week.
