A great cause at Congregation Chevra Mishnais Jacob Josef
Last Sunday, September 7th, people came from as far away as downtown Montreal eager to take home name-brand clothing and accessories at excellent prices for a great cause. The basement of Chevra Mishnais Jacob Josef Synagogue was crowded at times with buyers—arms full of clothing—and volunteers busy assisting visitors and watching that everything went smoothly. In another room, accessories and various selected clothing were sold at discount prices, and fabric was cut upon request by a cheerful staff member. It was encouraging to see so many turn out in support of the synagogue’s fundraiser, both as customers and as volunteers, the latter serving as staff and security. A table and several benches were covered with novels and an assortment of books as the Golda Meir (Chomedey) Chapter of Hadassah-WIZO raised funds for their programs, for the synagogue and for various initiatives in Canada and Israel.
Thrilled by the outcome of last week’s bazaar, Jacob Josef synagogue has invited the public to once again come out and this time enjoy never-before-seen amazing prices, today, Sunday, September 14th, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. New clothing has arrived and prices have been slashed on brands like Tommy Hilifiger, Laura, and Bedo. From warm vests to fashion jeans, from stunning evening gowns to adorable baby clothes, the selection spans infant to plus sizes, and offers a wide array of choices. Everything must be sold! The funds raised will be used to serve the community. Please come out and shop, and support the Chevra Mishnais Jacob Josef Synagogue. It is located at 715 du Sablon, and is easy to find, take Notre Dame to Chemin du Sablon, turn left and follow the road to the synagogue, next door to the Centre du Sablon.
