Building bridges so that non-profit organizations such as AGAPE can continue to serve community needs
Our 21st Century economy demands 21st Century thinking. With that in mind, my company 'Community & Corporate Solutions' was formed with the mission of "Building Bridges Between Global Communities, Non-Profit Organizations & Corporate Citizens".

As such, we have an exciting opportunity that is sure to bring substantial Return of Investment and huge visibility. On Nov. 29 we will be hosting the 1st Annual AGAPE Gala, in partnership with the Municipal, Provincial, and Federal governments and corporate sponsors. Our goal is to make of this event a building block that will bring the community, local non-profit organizations, and corporate sponsors together.

I strongly believe that this will be the foundation for a 21st Century roadmap that will bridge the gap between the Global Communities such as governments, corporate citizens, non-profit organizations and the community-at-large.

To get started in this bridge-building in Laval, we have chosen as the beneficiary of our first initiative in this public-private-socio-cultural partnership - The AGAPE Association - a non-profit charitable organization which has served all multi-cultural communities of Laval for several decades.
About AGAPE
Founded in 1976, AGAPE's initial mission focused on the needs of disadvantaged children, offering food, clothes, and a place where they could gather for various activities. It wasn't long before it expanded its services to all members of the community, providing free meals to the hungry and counseling on a variety of critical issues faced by people who came to it for help.
Today, 32 successful years later AGAPE has evolved into a full-service vital organization whose priceless assistance to the community includes providing clothes and furniture; the pick-up, preparation and delivery of food baskets throughout the year; back to work and back to school support; budget planning; meetings with victims of abuse and violence; services for, and meetings with, persons suffering from all types of addiction; daycare services for children of parents looking for work; services for families and for seniors in need of housing or long term care.
Your help is needed
Our services have had to expand in response to the growing demand each year and we need your help in order to be able to serve these additional needs.
In order to raise additional resources in support of our services, we have organized the 1st Annual AGAPE Gala Fund Raiser, to be held Nov, 29, 2008 at the ARMINA Reception Center (1003 Labelle, Laval).

The proceeds from the sale of advertising in our Program and the sale of tickets for this event will go the AGAPE Association.

The gala will be attended by municipal, provincial and federal political figures and community leaders; and French, English and community media and corporate citizens (financial Institutions, corporations, and school boards of Laval, Lanaudière & Laurentides, to name just a few). We are expecting 300 plus to attend. This will be a great opportunity with huge Return of Investment potential.
