At your service, with a smile:Teachers, students and administrators (including ex-Western Laval principal Les Harding (chef) and Laval Junior High interim principal Richard Mason) gladly dished out lots of good things to eat at the traditional (2008) Holiday Community Breakfast held by Laval Liberty/Laval Junior high schools.

7th Annual Community Holiday Community Breakfast draws hundreds of students, families and guests to Laval Liberty and Laval Junior high schools
$3,955 raised for AGAPE organization
Despite frigid temperatures, on Friday, December 19, 2008 Laval Liberty and Laval Junior high schools of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board hosted the 7th Annual Holiday Community Breakfast in celebration of the harmony that has become such an important part of the daily life of these two school communities. In the process, the event raised funds for AGAPE, a community organization that helps needy families in Laval.
Students and staff of the schools, both located at 3200 Souvenir, provided breakfast for students, staff and families from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. A record number of people attended, enabling the schools to make their largest-ever donation to AGAPE, a whopping $3,955.
Leading up to the breakfast, Special Education students at Laval Liberty made and sold jewellery to students, accounting for $300 of the donation. Students from Laval Junior made flower pens, raising an additional $150 through their sales.
A joint effort of Laval Liberty and Laval Junior, the event involved teachers who helped decorate the school, cooked and served breakfast, and animated activities for students throughout the morning. Principal Eric Ruggi, of Laval Liberty, and Richard Mason, his counterpart at Laval Junior helped serve the hundreds of guests.
AGAPE has been the recipient of the proceeds of the community breakfast for several years. Students at the two schools also donated 40 boxes of non-perishable food to AGAPE's 2008 Holiday Baskets Campaign. Laval Liberty and Laval Junior high schools thank their community partners, students, parents, staff, the Georgitsos family and members of the community for once again pulling together for a well-deserved celebration in support of a great cause.
