Combined Regional Street Gang Police Squad strikes at drug dealers
Members of the North Shore joint regional street gang police squad (regrouping investigators from Terrebonne, Repentigny, Saint-Jérôme, Sainte-Thérèse-de-Blainville, Laval, and the Surété du Quebec) conducted three raids yielding the arrest of five people suspected of being part of a network of crack selling operating in La Plaine region. Two busts in La Plaine and one in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan seized paraphernalia used to convert cocaine into crack. The raids came at the end of a three-week investigation conducted by the combined regional squad. In all, 28 police officers took part in the operation.
