Easy rider!
Young Laval entrepreneur Daniel Sciotto uses talent in motorcycle design, organizational skills and lots of hard work to achieve a dream
President and CEO Daniel Sciotto, 27, of Motorcycle Concepts International launched this local family business in 2008. Concordia University graduate in Urban Planning, his motorcycle craze and passion cross international borders. His dream to succeed has no limits. He’s out to defy the odds.
At age12, Daniel, and older bother Derek, spent numerous hours poking around car motors and getting their hands greasy. No one could stop them examining cars and motorcycles and researching their mechanical aspects in books and magazines.

The passion continued throughout their youth and the rest is history. Although he was not professionally trained in mechanics, in the years that followed Daniel proved he had evolved well beyond stereotype backyard tinkering, reaching a level of expertise making him highly-respected by motorcycle enthusiasts near and far who seek his advice and his services. Collecting motorcycles, dissecting them, reconstructing them, and giving them new life has led to celebrity status among friends and teacher colleagues who have entrusted him with their freedom machines.
Passion and labour of love
The successful custom builder has to be creative as well as multi-talented. Daniel's healthy passion for two wheels has led to trustworthy relationships with suppliers and painters nationally and internationally. He can multi-task and is definitely multi-talented. His correspondents in Europe make it easy to respond to customers’ needs. Focus cities in Italy are Rome, Frosinone, Torino, and Padova. Gianluca Viti, general manager of one of the Fini auto grill chain from Fabro, Umbria is a satisfied customer whose Kawasaki Ninja ZX6 is serviced only in Daniel’s Italian branch by Daniel himself.
And mogul Daniel Magnapera of the privately owned television station TeleUniverso, waits for Daniel’s arrival in Rome to service his Yamaha R1. All his bikes are serviced by Daniel in the summer.Till Opalka, a local Laval resident, has nothing but praise for Daniel’s innate mechanical talent. "No one but Daniel touches my baby."

These are just a few of the testimonials of loyal customers who entrust their speed machines to the passionate work of young Mr. Sciotto.

Other correspondents are in France, specifically Nice, the French Riviera, Monaco, and Germany. These companies have something for everyone for the riding public. Daniel has made sure his company can fulfill demand from two-wheeled fashionistas for latest accessory trends whether traditional or trendy. "It’s been quite a challenge and lots of hard work to get this far,” Daniel told Courrier Laval proudly showing his treasures.

“It’s not just about the money because I do a lot of work for friends and colleagues for no remuneration; however, I can no longer afford to offer services for free since the demand is becoming more than I can handle. It all began as a hobby, a passion that overpowers working for someone else, when I can work for myself. But mainly, I am an avid rider," he stated.

Respectful of the various motivations that bring people to motorcycles, Daniel believes everyone rides for different reasons. "One of the greatest rewards of riding is the opportunity to meet, socialize and spend time with other enthusiasts who are passionate about their sport and their bikes. And that’s where I come in with my motorcycle concepts and services," he summed up.
Challenges
As a young entrepreneur Daniel dares to dream big, the inspiration that pushes him to achieve his goals. He knows there are challenges, but he will devise strategies to overcome them. His international connections have proven successful and he will continue to extend and cultivate those relationships, which is all about service. He knows the importance of keeping on top of the industry and that the only way to be number one is to evolve and change with the times. He constantly researches the latest technology and service techniques, and is ready for change if a new opportunity arises.
As a young entrepreneur Daniel easily accepts constructive criticism, readjusting his path if the criticism is constructive and useful to his overall plan to go international, otherwise disregarding it. "I’m comfortable on the frontlines. I got lots of practice in that area in my other jobs, and I do not fear sweat and sacrifice because I’m too busy working towards my dream. My family that has taught me to enjoy, love, and embrace the financial and human burdens associated with creative, innovative and ground-breaking work. The sacrifices are more than worth it."
