Ville de Laval has begun its annual rinsing of the drinking water system, an operation which is expected to last until mid-November. The aim of the work is to rid the network of ferrous (iron) deposits which normally accumulate in the system. The general goal is to improve the quality of the city’s potable water. To avoid inconveniencing residents, the work will be conducted evenings into night, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. During these time periods and in the morning, it is likely that water will be slightly coloured. It is recommended that water be allowed to flow for a few minutes on cold mode to return it to normal.
