"Thank you for a fantastic season"
From the principal of Laval Liberty High School, Mr. Eric Ruggi
Our Laval Junior/ Laval Liberty Vipers Football Team won 26 to 8 vs. Loyola High School in an inter-regional championship game today. The game was played on a rain-soaked field with the student body, parents, staff and school board officials in attendance.

Sportsmanship was the top priority as both teams played well and respected each other. Ultimately, the Vipers were too strong for the Warriors. Both teams celebrated by taking turns sliding in the mud and then sliding in the mud together as one.

Congratulations to our coaching staff (Marcus Pollard, Steve Alexandre, Jim Pearson, James Van der Hoeven and Jeff Kulasigam) for their determination, expertise and effort. You are the key to our success. The future bodes well for the next two years as most of this championship team should remain intact in secondary 4 and 5.

Thank you to all of our parents and staff for supporting this amazing endeavour. Football has given many of our students the motivation they needed to succeed in school. The impact of our sports concentration program has been huge. Thank you to all of our supporters at the school board level who believed that this initiative could make a difference. Our school community has embraced the program and we are grateful.

Finally, our players deserve to be congratulated for their hard work, courage and drive to succeed. They are striving to be the best they can be both in and out of the classroom. They are an inspiration to us all!
