Caissy, Menard, Pitsakis and Gagnon honoured at pee wee hockey tournament
Four Laval hockey players were honoured at the recent 35th annual Yvon Chartrand Laval Provincial Pee Wee Hockey Yournament. Three of the players, Carl Caissy, Jeremie Menard, and Alex Pitsakis showed their dominance of the tournament with an illustrious display of skills that earned them best goaltender awards in their respective divisions. Caissy (National de Laval-Nord) won in B, Menard (Laval-Nord Vipers) in CC, and Pitsakis (Senateurs de Laval) in AA. For their stellar efforts, the boys received a trophy and a hockey stick signed by Martin Brodeur, star goaltender of the New Jersey Devils. Frederic Nault-Gagnon of the Saint-Francois Stars won the MVP trophy in the CC division. In team awards, the LaSalle Jaguars added the Yvon Chartrand Trophy, awarded to the tournament’s Most Disciplined Team, to their gold medal as winners of the A championship. (Syl.)
