Guy Ouellette anxious to hear from Thomas Mulcair
Would welcome departing MNA's advice
Guy Ouellette, Liberal Party of Quebec candidate for Chomedey, expressed a desire to consult with departing MNA Thomas Mulcair, on various matters that concern the people of the riding.
Reacting to published reports in Courrier Laval and Courrier Laval Weekly News that no contact had yet been established with Mr. Mulcair, Mr. Ouellette made it clear that he had asked Jeanne Landry, the former president of the Chomedey Riding Association, to express to Mr. Mulcair his desire to consult with him.
On a visit to Courrier Laval at mid-week, Mr. Ouellette specified that he could benefit from any advice Mr. Mulcair would pass on to him, concerning the riding which Mr. Mulcair virtually owned since 1994.
"You don't win three elections and spend 13 years working for the people of Chomedey, Laval, and Quebec like Mr. Mulcair has done without accumulating vast knowledge of the people's needs and concerns, and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss many matters with Mr. Mulcair," Mr. Ouellete explained, confirming same in a brief telephone conversation on Friday afternoon, March 16.
